Grow to Give
In April we launched our Grow to Give campaign. This program was designed to help those in need, in our local community, during our first lockdown. Thank you to everyone who nominated and/or donated during this time. As a result of your generosity we were able to give away hundreds of free meals to those who needed some love and kindness. We fed families doing it tough as well as those on the frontline with the help of Peninsula Health and to our elderly community with the help Mornington RSL. The thousands of dollars we raised for those in need, was gratefully and humbly received thank you.
Staff Awards
After helping our community through Grow to Give in lockdown one, we shifted gears and focused on our team during lockdown two. Months of lockdown was taking its toll on all of us, so to stay positive and energised we ran an awards program to celebrate eachother. We had four awards and everyone had to nominate a colleague in each category. We congratulate all our team who won (Sarah Coates – Team Player Award, Colin Mooney – Winey Ambassador Award, Jade Bremner – WOW Award and Britt Ryan – Employee of the Year). What an incredible group of people and talent. Everyone received nominations and great feedback and all our team are winners for getting through this challenging year. To all our Winey Team, thank you.
You guys are truly awesome.
B1G1
2020 has taught us so much about ourselves and our business. It opened our hearts, helped us gain purpose and realise that we need to do Business for Good. Our Grow to Give campaign was a huge success but by design was not sustainable long term. This didn’t end our commitment to do business for good and in fact was only the beginning.
In September this year The Winey Cow became a member of B1G1 (Buy One Give One); a global business giving movement that helps break world poverty and enables small business to make a big impacts.
This means that by supporting Winey you directly make a difference in the world. When you purchase a meal at Winey you give an underprivileged woman in the Philippines access to vocational training in hospitality. When you buy our merchandise you give an orphaned child in Thailand access to a school uniform so he/she can attend school. When you tip our team you give children in India access to potable water. All these givings break the poverty cycle. You give those underprivileged around the world access to education, safe drinking water and a better quality of life. You can keep track of our givings to date via our website on our B1G1 page.
Merchandise
Our merchandise range just keeps getting bigger and bigger. We love our brand and it seems you guys love it just as much. We have introduced, socks, vests, glasses and soon to be launched stubby holders. These make great gifts for special occasions and are always available to purchase online through our website.
